Designing Resilient Regions: The Biggest Little Ideas for ALL Ecosystems

Saturday Brewery Tour

Enjoy a multi-stop brewery tour and appreciate the history that makes Milwaukee “Brew City”.  Selected breweries represent some of Milwaukee’s historic beer barons empire along with the disruptive innovators in microbrews. There is something for everyone!

The UEDA Conference Brewery Tour is a 6-hour bus tour. We will visit 4 locations, each offering their own tours and beer samples. Round-trip transportation and guided fun is included, along with the tour drinks, a Milwaukee soft pretzel, and water.

This is not a drunken pub crawl. This is an entertaining, educational opportunity to meet the makers of craft beers in Milwaukee with responsible drinking along the way. This tour is especially designed those those interested in discovering craft breweries.

Lakefront Brewery Tour

345-lakefrontbrewerylogo-300x166

Full of jokes and beer breaks, it’s no wonder TripAdvisor has ranked this hilarious tour as the number four brewery tour in the nation. Lakefront is known for their innovation, not only within the beer making process, but also in historic preservation.  In 1996 Lakefront became the first certified organic brewery in the country and made the country’s first certified organic beer. In 2006 the brothers helped create a new category of beer when they became the first brewery in the nation to receive federal approval to brew a gluten-free beer. Using local ingredients also interested other breweries and the owners helped form the Midwest Hops and Barley Co-op. In 2009, the brewery produced the first beer since before prohibition made with 100% Wisconsin-grown hops and malt. Lakefront was the second brewery in the country to make a Pumpkin Beer and possibly the first to bottle a fruit beer in the country since Prohibition.
