Concurrent Session – Leveraging San Antonio’s Strengths in Cybersecurity to Grow the Innovation Ecosystem

Focusing on the partnership between Geekdom and gener8tor which created the gener8tor Cybersecurity Accelerator, how it has led to innovation, and the impact this partnership had on a few startups in particular. Geekdom is a collaborative startup community in ​​San Antonio that gives startups the opportunity to gain traction for rapid growth. The accelerator offers 12 weeks of programming while investing $100,000 into startups in San Antonio. gener8tor is also working with the region to bring its gener8tor Skills programming to support un- and underemployed individuals in gaining new skills in cybersecurity, bringing new talent into the area’s cybersecurity ecosystem.
