Advancing Association Priorities
UEDA committees serve as the primary working bodies of the association. Through committee engagement, members contribute their expertise to guide programming, strengthen organizational initiatives, and advance the practice of higher education economic development. Committees provide a structured forum for collaboration among practitioners responsible for industry partnerships, research leadership, community engagement, and institutional strategy. Summit Committee
The Summit Planning Committee is responsible for developing the Annual Summit, including securing high-caliber speakers and participants, and generating sponsor and exhibitor support to sustain the event’s operational and revenue goals.
Awards of Excellence Committee
The Awards of Excellence Committee develops and manages the Awards of Excellence program, working to refine the program’s process, solicit qualified initiatives from across the globe, and judge the applications on predefined criteria.
Membership Committee
The Membership Committee expands UEDA’s reach by attracting and retaining members while developing strategies to strengthen and enhance the association’s programs and resources.
Research Committee
The Research Committee strengthens UEDA’s value to members by developing information, tools, and resources that advance higher education economic development practice and expand the field’s knowledge base.
Development Committee
The Development Committee works with UEDA staff to secure financial support that advances special initiatives and offsets Annual Summit costs, while identifying sponsorship, advertising, and grant opportunities to support the priorities advanced by committees and staff.
