
The UEDA Talent Network hosted a conversation with Lynne Firmin George, Director of Troy University’s Innovation, Design, Entrepreneurship Accelerator (IDEA Bank). Attendees learned how the center is building student talent while responding to evolving student interests and needs.

Launched in 2021, the IDEA Bank serves as both a multidisciplinary resource for entrepreneurial-minded students and a business support hub for the Troy community. The center connects academic insight with real-world application, offering hands-on programs that encourage students to pursue new ventures and practical problem-solving. About Lynne Formin George

With over ten years of experience in sales, service, marketing, and operations across various sectors, including athletics, hospitality, events, and higher education, Lynne Firmin George is passionate about relationship-building and creative collaboration to drive business growth and revenue. Her core competencies include partner relationship management, marketing, sales, higher education teaching, guest lecturing, event management, and project coordination.
As the director of IDEA Bank, a multi-disciplinary resource for entrepreneurial-minded students at Troy University, Lynne leads the program’s mission to foster the growth of student entrepreneurs by offering business advising, sales and marketing support, special-topic workshops, speaking engagements, connections to community partners and resources, and general encouragement and support. She also teaches courses on marketing, personal branding, revenue generation, and sport management, sharing her knowledge and expertise with the next generation of business leaders. Lynne is motivated by the opportunity to help students realize their potential and achieve their goals, while contributing to the innovation and development of the Troy University community.
